22 new colours from DuPont's Corian
New options with recycled content are now available.
After an extensive two-year process, involving trend analysis, market surveys and testing, 22 new Corian colours became available from January 2010.
The launch represents the largest single expansion of the palette since the invention of this groundbreaking material.
Designed to meet a variety of market needs - in both aesthetics and application - from commercial to residential, all colours are available in a 12 mm thickness (while Designer White is also available in a 6 mm thickness).
Nine of these new choices constitute the Eco-Terrazzo and the Eco-Concrete collections and their composition includes a ratio of recycled content.
DuPont has upgraded its capability to produce colours on demand, allowing the industry to fully exploit material's versatility, and can now produce custom colours in Corian with a minimum order of 60 sheets.
"We listen very carefully to our customers and these new colours are the result of a market-driven approach reflecting attention to demand," said Simon Langlois, business development manager for DuPont Building Innovations, Europe, Middle East and Africa. "This refreshment of the colour palette is the most significant since the introduction of DuPont Corian in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region and is well positioned to enable architects, designers and businesses to meet a wide variety of requirements in terms of matching colour to application."
